‘Fortnite’ could be getting Juice WRLD (Jarad Higgins) content in the future

‘Fortnite’ is no stranger to crossovers and collaborations, and it all started with ‘Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War’ where you could play as Thanos, but since then we’ve seen Japanese Pro Tennis player Naomi Osaka, multiple Disney properties including Star Wars, and Ariana Grande holding concerts in-game.

But if this were to happen, Juice WRLD (real name Jarad Higgins) would be one of the few it would happen to posthumously. Higgins passed away in December 2019, but he’s had albums released since, and his manager Peter Jideonwo says he has a meeting with Fortnite developer Epic Games coming up, and on the agenda is his desire to get Higgins in the game somehow. Speaking in a video on Instagram, Jideonwo said

“We need Juice WRLD in Fortnite. We’ve been trying our hardest, that’s also a work in progress. We got a meeting Tuesday or Thursday with Epic”.

So this isn’t just a hope and dream of the manager, a meeting is going to take place. Juice WRLD has been in Fortnite with his track ‘Come and Go’ which was part of the Ariana Grande rift-tour. Jideonwo acknowledged this, saying he thinks it’d be cool because Fortnite fans seem to like Juice WRLD. He ends his video by saying that if people want this to happen, they should contact Epic and request it.

It’s unclear if this could see a skin or even a concert happen, as both are often lucrative for the parties involved. Fans seem split on the idea, with some overjoyed at the idea of the rapper appearing in the game in some form, while others seem to suggest it’s disrespectful. One way or another, with the meeting less than a week away, it’s likely we might know sooner rather than later what the outcome is.
